Final Week Starts Tomorrow
If you are an experienced Kickstarter backer, you know how important the final week is to every campaign. We have many potential backers waiting for the 'final week alert' to decide which campaigns to back. With over 50,000 Kickstaters to explore, we have to really stand out.
We are feeling great going into the final week. We are funded, have lots of upgrades, have over a dozen reviews and we are offering some pretty cool products.
But, The Lost Worlds of Josh Kirby still needs your help. We want you to celebrate your Kickstarter and invite others to join in, so we can invest more backer pledges into components and quality that comes with legendary funding.
What do you get for your trouble? Well we have more Stretch Goals ready for the final week:
As you can see we want to invest in more graphic design work and new materials that require a big dollar investment, which we are happy to do with your help.
Please, start sharing the campaign, posting supportive comments and help us grow our backer community. And, if you have played the game at our cons and meetups, convince your fellow gamers that this is the Kickstarter not to miss!
<< Perhaps humans are slow to believe in planetary danger. Perhaps they are easily overwhelmed by variation.>> The intimate thoughts of the undulating Blue Worm slowly crawling up to Logan enters his mind’s eye as the bizarre creature rears up behind the unaware Captain.
“This is an ally of the Titans,” the Meek delegate hurriedly explains. “He is a young grub, and it will be many centuries before his appetite is a threat to you.”
Not the best introduction, Logan thought. <<But an honest one.>> he hears in response to his thoughts.
Logan announces, “Well Blue Worm, until I am better at this, I will choose to speak out loud. Communicating without speaking is rather invasive, if you don't mind.”
<<Then I will share my thoughts widely.>> the Blue Worm responds, suddenly heard by every creature in a wide range.
[The Titan Social Media share is announced]
The shimmering, two-ton grub explains the dire situation. << The Transcendent Masters have unleashed their beasts. This planet is lost to us. We must away on your Ark, Captain. If we are caught, surely the entire Meek species will be lost.>>
The Meek race to file aboard the massive vessel. An alien horn blasts a resounding bellow across the horizon… the hell hounds of the Transcendent are approaching!
The Delegate promises to delay them as long as he is able, but begs the Captain to flee now. Reluctant to cede a discovery within hours of finding it, Logan’s prudence is enough to accept that these creatures would not have gone through such galactic trouble if the threat was not dire...
[+3 Event Cards featuring instant effects are added to the Bundle Backer set]
The Captain is rapidly escorted to the command deck, it alien crew already assembled. The dials, dashboard and readouts are familiar, as if the Meek built them with humans in mind. “Ok team, let’s not forget the sacrifice we witness as we accept this quest to save our passengers.” Logan declares, and gives the order to leave with a nod.
The Space Ark hums. It ascends from its scaffolding like a metallic balloon. Looking down, the crew and passengers watch in horror as alien, four-legged creatures race across the remains of the Meek’s port. Most turn away to avoid seeing the carnage. Standing among the violence, a tall, bizarrely dressed humanoid glares up, too late to stop the ship’s escape.
A metallic voice pierces the command deck, **Captain, I have prepared coordinates for your Hyperspace jump.** The Captain stares at the black, metallic android. Logan is reminded of a cast iron skillet as he considers the surprise of a robot on the ship.
<<Logan, the robot has selected Tar’el. It is a distant planet of similar atmosphere; the Transcendent are unlikely to search there first.>>
[+3 World Cards from the Sentient Network are announced]
The Captain contemplates taking the Space Ark and gentle Meek back to Earth. But the Blue Worm suddenly fills his head with brief glimpses of subjugated worlds, the fate of any resistance to the Master. With no other experience in the galaxy, Logan realizes he must trust this alien crew to take him into Deep Space.
Logan shakes away the thought of returning to Earth, “Robot, take us to Tar’el.”
Blue oceans, green and red forests, shimmering white spires of civilization. Logan is relieved to descend the Space Ark on a world that looks and feels like his home. And yet, this is clearly not Earth. As if sensing his comfort at the familiar sight, the Blue Worm sends images of the planet’s inhabitants.
<<Logan, this planet’s atmosphere is safe for your kind, but be warned, as soon as we arrived the locals became frenzied and began preparing for war. I have never seen them like this!>>
Before Logan can process this news, he observes a new crisis. The android, previously immobile at its work station, has walked across the command deck to take control of the ark.
“Blue Worm, what’s happening?” Logan demands, unaware that the grub’s telepathy is meaningless to robots. Peeking through the Ark’s portholes the Captain spots the human-looking inhabitants of Tar’el gathering primitively armed forces around a large glen, where the android appears to be landing.
<<I believe we have been betrayed, Logan. This android has contacted the Tar’el people and turned them against us. They intend to capture us and hand us over to the Titans. I see no way out without a fight.>>
