1132 Pounds! Transit Plans. More Games Kickin'

1132 Pounds!

That's how much all our Josh Kirby games, Mission Logs, card sleeves and playmats weigh. The planning and logistics to get them all moved and delivered is under way.

It's kinda' cool to make Pallet loads of games!

Transit Plans

Now that games are leaving the factory, we are working closely to track our games. Here is a brief summary of what is underway.

  • All products leave our factory this week.
  • They are headed to our transit partners in Hong Kong. Takes about 5 days to receive and pick/pack games
  • From there, we are breaking up our orders. We are packing International Orders for delivery from HK. We are talking about global fulfillment, so I cant give you exact estimates yet, but we typically assume 12 business days.
  • At the same time, the majority of games are headed to the US for domestic fulfillment. This allows us to achieve better shipping rates and include your BARD Games extras, like all those Fickle add-ons!

Our goal is to have all games in hand before the holidays. There are a lot of steps and partners we rely on. So, let's wish them well and look forward wait as our games start their journey!

More Games Kickin'

Speaking of ocean freight, we are also preparing our next game, Tater Freighter!

See who is the greater Tater Freighter at your kitchen taber. :D

I hope you will take a look at our fast, family game of card guessing and tater hoarding. Thank you for helping us keep our gaming company healthy despite a tough year... we miss game conventions!

Games leave Factory this week! Quality. Address changes. BARD Games projects.

Games leave the factory this week!

Board games. Mission Logs. Play Mats. Card Sleeves. They are all stacking up on the shipping dock this week. Our factory pick up is planned for this Friday, which starts the logistics chain from the factory to your door.

During my factory tour, I watched a freighter leave the port headed to our 20+ countries. We are working closely with our logistics partners to get your games to you as fast as truck, boats, airplanes and mail carriers allow. So close!!

Quality

But, as much as we appreciate fast fulfillment, we care more about quality! We are only a few weeks behind schedule, for all the right reasons. Our factory addressed each concern and we are very proud of the products headed your way.

Components look amazing, and show off your Josh Kirby art!
This playmat is an amazing game surface! And the Fleet pawns are cool too...

Crank up the sound and enjoy this preview of your Mission Log!

There should be a "Best Rule Book" award, we are in the running!
Check out your spiraling Fleet pawns... geometry meets art!
I can't wait for you to have these over sized dice in your hands!
It's the little details that matter; components that fit nicely, and a finger inlet to make it easy to reach.

Address Changes

We have locked addresses to ensure our International fulfillment can begin next week, and US orders are planned correctly. If you have an address change since September, IM us immediately. After next week, orders are headed to the address on file.

BARD Games project update.

Josh Kirby has been our top priority and we are happy to report it is headed your way!

But, BARD Games is ever busy (despite an insane pandemic!).

So, we are racing to announce our next game project. Ready to see if you are the Greater Tater Freighter? Then check out our light hearted, family friendly game on the Tater Freighter Project Page

Manufacturing moving to logistics. Tater Freighter!
over 3 years ago – Mon, Sep 21, 2020 at 10:02:24 PM

Sorry for the long pause. Between Covid, California fires about 20 miles away and a move, I have been distracted. But, production was not!

Manufacturing Moving to Logistics.

Gerrod has been working closely with our manufacturing partners to get everything ready for the container ships.  The game looks great, and check out the epic playmat!

Game play side with space for cards and components
Playmat with some game play on the table.
The "Art" side!

Manufacturing is nearly complete, and we have started planning our logistics. Watch for an upcoming update that we are 'locking' mailing address.

If you need to make an address change, (or add a playmat) you can still do so in BackerKit.

Tater Freighter coming to Kickstarter.

As we fill your bins with Josh Kirby, we are already working on our next game. Get ready for a fast paced, family style game game of food collecting and card guessing.

More to follow... Later Tater!

19mm Dice! Files are with the Factory. Fleets by Josh Kirby.
almost 4 years ago – Wed, Aug 05, 2020 at 12:09:01 PM

19mm Dice!

Check out these beauties;

“My hands are normal. Slightly large, actually.”

The Action Dice and Epic Die came out wonderfully! The impressive 19mm size feels great in your hand... they are tempting me to re-roll them again and again!

All Game and Mission log files are with the Factory.

We just had to celebrate! Of course there are a few more steps to go, like carton graphics, sleeves and playmat files. But, handing over the files for the game and book took months of effort. Special thanks to Gerrod Garcia, our Product Manager who has been lighting up our production like its the 4th of July!

Fleets by Josh Kirby.

Here is a peek at the pre-mold test of the Fleets!

Don't focus on blemishes and dings, this is a test of the shape and color to proof the design.

I am super-excited about the organic lines and bold colors. We were inspired by Josh's space ship from the cover of the Best of Sci-Fi

A rocket ship with fins!

I believe our Fleets will look totally unique on your game table. What do you think?

Almost there... The Mission Log Looks Great! "F***!"
almost 4 years ago – Tue, Jul 21, 2020 at 01:56:58 PM

Almost there...

The production team has been working non-stop (after some pandemic related delays) with the factory to start the build! We are still a few weeks away from factory pictures, but you know its real when you have the dice. Look at these hot Bonus Dice you unlocked;

The Mission Log Looks Great!

I am so happy we had Katherine Boils join the team to take on the graphic and layout for the Mission Log, she is super talented (and looking for projects if you are a game maker). I wont spoil all the fun, you have to wait for your puzzles/coloring pages. But here is a visual feast for your eyes;

F***!

That's a direct quote from our Production Manager when we went over the deadline for factory turn in this week. Guess he is feeling the heat. I hope you will comment words of encouragement to Gerrod this week, while I wash his mouth out with soap.
