Grateful

Hi all, we just want thank the many Backers who have completed their BackerKit survey with new content! We take a risk with add-ons like play mats and card sleeves, so the 80+ new orders this week helps us reach the minimum orders needed to make them worth making.

I am personally stoked to have a 2 sided game play mat! Thank you everyone.

60% and Climbing!

That's how many surveys are already completed, wonderful!

If you haven't completed yours, we understand there is a lot going on in the world right now. We will keep the survey open for a while to give everyone ample time to make their backer decisions while we work on the remaining, unlocked content.

Until then, I hope this message I found walking the planet Earth unlocks your inner Champion.

BackerKit Survey is live

We are excited to open your order confirmation survey on BackerKit! You should have received an email today from BackerKit to complete a short survey and add-on anything you missed.

Thank you for checking out our other games!

Pre-orders ensure we have an accurate count of what we need to manufacture.  So, kindly complete your survey and we will keep moving this game to completion. We are grateful for every order!

If you have any questions, send them to us at [email protected]

Progress

Despite a difficult month for many in the board game industry, our team is moving forward. Shout out to the BARD Games team working in the background to make your game.

Here are just a few images to keep the energy high. Tell us what you think!

Rule Book Graphics, layout and accuracy... then off to the dreaded editor!
You unlocked 15 Event Cards! Glad we were play testing through February, before US conventions closed.
Finalizing all the details to make the game easy to learn

Feature Article

We are excited to announce The Lost Worlds of Josh Kirby will be the feature story in the very first issue of Everything Boardgames magazine!

They are about a month away from publishing, so I will let you know when this new magazine launches. We have 6 pages of art and game description in the feature article, so cool!

If you want to learn more about this magazine, check out their Facebook/Everything Board Games Community

Do you See Smoke? Dice Tower Seal of Approval
about 4 years ago – Wed, Apr 22, 2020 at 10:36:27 PM

Do you See Smoke?

Maybe it was contrails...

If you received your BackerKit pledge manager email, then you are one of the 5% of backers in our 'smoke test' to make sure our fulfillment survey is working and ready for launch!

If you did not see a BackerKit email yet, that's ok. We will send another update later this week to confirm the launch of the fulfillment survey!

Dice Tower Seal of Approval

If you follow Tom Vassal and the Dice Tower, than you know how rewarding it is to announce that another BARD Game received this wonderful recognition!

When you get your BackerKit survey, we included Fickle at the Kickstarter price for you to add-on if you missed our 2019 game. Fickle is a gorgeous, witty card game, and we think your Space Opera will look great next to fairy world of Amy Brown.

Mission Log- Liquid Logic, BackerKit Update, Need a Solo Game?

We didn't forget about you!

Mission Log- Liquid Logic

In the final days of the campaign, our Bundle Backers unlocked a peek in the upcoming Mission Log for everyone, and it's time to deliver.

The Mission Log will feature the detailed art of Josh Kirby,  challenging Coloring Pages, Space Opera content and over a dozen mind bending puzzles like the Liquid Logic page peek. Please visit our website to print Page Peek and solve this puzzle. You will probably need an eraser...

Oh, and did you want the ANSWER to the puzzle? Muah ha ha!!! (I will post the answer in our next update so we don't spoil the solution for others).

BackerKit Update

We have fallen a little behind on launching the BackerKit survey. The primary delay has been getting our weights and measures accurate for the shipping tools in BackerKit. Watch for the launch in the update next week.

Need a Solo Game?

You may know that BARD Games funded, built and delivered a game called Fickle last year.

Featuring the beautiful fairy art of Amy Brown!

Well, with so many people sheltering in place, our game designer Glenn Cotter surprised us with a bonus; new solo rules for Fickle!

If you are looking for a fast paced, gorgeous game you can play as a couple, with a table of friends and now as a solo game, learn more about Fickle on our website https://www.bardgames.fun/fickle/

COVID-19 Update. BackerKit Update. Mission Log
about 4 years ago – Thu, Mar 26, 2020 at 01:26:14 AM

COVID-19 Update

While we were discovering the Lost Worlds, our own world has been over shadowed by our shared threat from the Corona Virus.  Our team is infection free to date, and our hearts go out to everyone who may be dealing with the infection, job loss and the anxiety of our global response.

Although we have been a bit distracted, all systems are go as we finalize digital content and work with our manufacturing team. I am particularly proud that our regular partner in China continues to show us their compassion and support.

During my 2018 factory tours in Ningbo, China, the Eastar Game Manufacturing team were kind and thoughtful hosts.

The Eastar team making sure I didn't miss my train.

Now that Europe and the US are embroiled in the pandemic, our friends at Eastar sent their human solidarity. Without being asked, they sent me masks and tissues in the mail today, which I will donate to a local care facility here in California.

While governments may bicker and dither, I hope we never forget that the world is full of people who truly care for one another.

BackerKit Update

Ok, back to the game stuff. We are completing the details needed to launch the BackerKit fulfillment survey next week. Once the survey is live, we will also resume some social media to invite new backers to pre-order the game.

And, there is talk of resurrecting a Stretch goal for BackerKit sales... if you will help us!

Mission Log

In the final week of the Kickstarter, we unlocked several new stretch goals, including a Sneak Peak of a Mission Log puzzle page. We are taking our time to do some graphic upgrades and editing so you can experience the quality we are creating.

So, we are a little slow getting this one to you.  But it will be worth it. When I tested it at work, I had one Rage Quit and two people argue all of their lunch time over the correct answer...
